National Bursaries

Ministry of Education

National bursaries provide book and monthly maintenance allowances together with full GATE tuition funding for eligible tertiary students who did not receive a National Scholarship.

Eligibility

  • Citizen of Trinidad and Tobago
  • Not awarded a National Scholarship
  • Attained at least eight CAPE units at Grades I and II over no more than two consecutive years in Form 6
  • Accepted by an accredited or recognised local tertiary institution or a regional campus of The University of the West Indies
  • Subject to evaluation of course alignment, extracurricular or community contribution, purpose statement, academic performance and financial need
