Minor House Repair Assistance (MHRA) Grant

Ministry of Social Development and Family Services

Provides materials to repair or upgrade dwelling houses, with increased assistance where repairs or upgrades are required following a disaster. This grant is not available for commercial enterprises, and payment is made directly to the supplier or service provider.

Eligibility

Eligible citizens of Trinidad and Tobago
Poor and vulnerable persons, including senior citizens, persons with disabilities, unemployed persons and single-parent households
Applicants must satisfy the Standard Means Test, except victims of disaster
Applicants must own or have authorization to occupy the property
Not available for commercial enterprises
