Grant Fund Facility for Local Producers of Alternatives to Wheat Flour

Ministry of Trade and Industry

Grants covering 75% of the cost of new machinery and equipment used to manufacture alternatives to wheat flour, up to TT$340,000. Working capital and land, building, and installation costs are excluded.

Eligibility

Sole proprietors, partnerships, or companies wholly owned by Trinidad and Tobago nationals
Registered and operating in Trinidad and Tobago
Small firms with annual turnover of TT$8 million or less, or medium firms with annual turnover between TT$8 million and TT$15 million
Operating in agriculture, agro-processing, or root-crop processing and manufacturing alternatives to wheat flour
Earn at least 50% of revenue from exports, produce an import substitute, or otherwise support economic diversification
Established going concern operating for at least one year and directly involved in farming and agro-processing
Able to finance the remaining 25% of the acquisition cost and any cost exceeding TT$340,000
