Expansion of the GATE Programme

Ministry of Education

Government tuition funding supporting progressive matriculation to a Bachelor’s degree or eligible TVET programmes at ACTT-accredited institutions and programmes.

Eligibility

Students enrolled in institutions and programmes accredited by the Accreditation Council of Trinidad and Tobago (ACTT)
Students pursuing eligible combinations of non-terminal, certificate, diploma, advanced diploma, associate degree and Bachelor’s degree programmes
TVET students pursuing eligible Level 3, Level 4 or Level 5 programme combinations
Students must register for Baccalaureate certification or its TVET equivalent within two years after completing the initial course of study
The Baccalaureate course must align with the Interim Development List or specified professional areas
Citizens under age 50 who already held qualifications permitting matriculation to a Baccalaureate programme or TVET equivalent were required to register by September 2024
