Expansion of the GATE Programme
Ministry of Education
Government tuition funding supporting progressive matriculation to a Bachelor’s degree or eligible TVET programmes at ACTT-accredited institutions and programmes.
Eligibility
- Students enrolled in institutions and programmes accredited by the Accreditation Council of Trinidad and Tobago (ACTT)
- Students pursuing eligible combinations of non-terminal, certificate, diploma, advanced diploma, associate degree and Bachelor’s degree programmes
- TVET students pursuing eligible Level 3, Level 4 or Level 5 programme combinations
- Students must register for Baccalaureate certification or its TVET equivalent within two years after completing the initial course of study
- The Baccalaureate course must align with the Interim Development List or specified professional areas
- Citizens under age 50 who already held qualifications permitting matriculation to a Baccalaureate programme or TVET equivalent were required to register by September 2024
